Smiths HP stocks a wide range of aluminium tubes in various grades to suit your requirements.

The fundamental difference between tube and pipe is that the former is measured using the outside diameter, while the latter uses the inside diameter. We stock aluminium tubes in standard lengths or cut to size, using our inhouse tube cutting service.

Processing Options:

We offer in-house processing services where we cut your aluminium tubes to specific lengths. Our processing capabilities range from 12mm to 200mm diameter cuts with a tolerance of +/- 0.3mm and a minimum wall thickness of 20swg.

While aluminium tubes are not as strong as solid bars, they still benefit from the same performance characteristics (low weight, high strength, straightforward to machine and weld). Aluminium tubes offer an attractive balance of strength and weight due to being hollow. If the tubular product provides enough load bearing strength, it will reduce weight even further.
