15CDV6 is a chromium, molybdenum & vanadium steel with high tensile strength after heat treatment (1080-1280 N/mm²).

The alloy is easily welded and does not require localised heat treatment after welding. 15CDV6 combines outstanding yield strength with good toughness. In motorsport applications, the product offers a cost-effective solution in areas where a combination of high strength and excellent weldability is required.

15CDV6 has a broad range of applications in the motorsport sector due to the cost-effective nature and versatility of the alloy. With characteristics including easy weldability and high strength, it is a popular material in a variety of racing car components including suspension, uprights, wishbones, roll cages and track/pushrods.
