Smiths High Performance has bespoke supply packages in place for various motorsport customers.

All our supply packages are produced to meet your requirements. Here is a working example of a tailored supply solution which is currently in place for a customer who provides fabricated parts in the motorsport sector.

Removal:

An original bonded material store and a non-bonded store are removed from a customer site, with Smiths High Performance effectively becoming the company's dedicated material store. The costs of saw maintenance, store maintenance, saw blades and scrap are removed.

Ordering & Deliveries:

The customer is given access to our 24/7 online customer portal, where they can view stock and place orders. The customer can also give their sub-contractors visibility and manage their stock via the portal. Engineering materials are delivered directly to lineside and then booked in using our unique barcoding system, which uses SHP and customer part numbers for ease of identification.

Total Control:

Interfacing with SHP's bespoke business system allows the customer to view stock, test certificates, incoming purchase orders and place their purchase orders - ALL using their own, unique part numbers

The Result:

Since the original implementation, the customer has confirmed that this bespoke supply package has already saved the company £1.2 million per annum. These savings are passed on due to the customer making significant savings on through-costs. Their engineering raw material supply chain is now more efficient with product delivered directly on a just in time basis. The process also frees up extra warehouse capacity so the customer can focus on what matters - building fast racing cars.
