PH Stainless Steels

For hardness & toughness

Precipitation hardening stainless steel is considerably harder than stainless steel.

PH steels utilise nickel and chromium as primary alloying elements. Our products are highly suitable for applications with high strength, hardness and distortion resistance considerations.

With such freedom from distortion, our products are ideal for producing intricate and complex parts. Good machining and forming capabilities are also present when the material is supplied in the solution-annealed condition. CNC machining is a popular process for these products. The chromium content contributes to high corrosion resistance and improved performance in elevated temperatures.

Our precipitation-hardening stainless steels include grades such as 13-8PH.

Product Suitability

Precipitation hardening stainless steels find use in various applications in the motorsport engineering sector.

Typical examples include valve stems, gears, fasteners, structural parts, shafts, valves and halo mountings. We stock PH steels in solid round bars and plates. Our stock range includes various diameters and thicknesses, and we process these materials in-house.
