PEEK CF30 offers higher mechanical strength and rigidity than VICTREX™ PEEK 450G™.

Introduction:

The material provides even higher creep resistance, and the dimensional stability of the plastic is also very high. The expansion of the product under any change in temperature is low. As the product is carbon fibre reinforced, tipped tooling is a requirement during machining. As with all our plastic products, Smiths High Performance provides material which gives racing car designers options which would otherwise, be unavailable.

Characteristics:

With 30% carbon fibre reinforcement, PEEK CF30 is highly suitable for engineering applications involving high mechanical loads. With good dimensional stability, the material provides high stiffness, low coefficient of thermal expansion and is electrically conductive. PEEK CF30 combines impressive strength and rigidity with low density. The plastic is flame retardant while able to work in elevated temperature environments up to 250° C.

Processing:

The product is straightforward to process due to the material's low internal stresses. We provide in-house processing options where we cut your plastic products to size and to tight tolerances.
