PEEK PVE combines 70% Peek, 10% carbon fibre, 10% graphite and 10% PTFE to create a self-lubricating plastic with additives that enhance wear.

Tribology:

Due to better tribological properties, PEEK PVE will perform at higher speed and pressure than other PEEK grades. Our plastic product is an excellent material for any movement or wear applications. It offers high creep resistance, good heat deflection and superior dimensional stability. The plastic finds use in various motorsport applications, including bearing cages.

Viable Alternative:

In many instances, PEEK PVE serves as an engineering material which provides a viable alternative to traditional metallic alloys. For example, compared to wear and abrasion-resistant steels, PEEK PVE has a low strength-to-weight ratio, which is an essential prerequisite for designing fast race cars.
