C101 (CW004A)
For electrical components
C101 copper (CW004A) is a highly versatile engineering material we supply as HDHC (hard drawn, high conductivity).
The material finds typical use in all conductors and electrical components and benefits from high-impact strength, good ductility and superior corrosion resistance.
Purity:
With a content of 99.9%, C101 is almost pure and forms the basis of many brass and bronze alloys. The material also provides excellent soldering capabilities.
Motorsport Applications:
C101 (CW004A) find use in various motorsport applications. Due to the nature of the alloy, electronics is the most common area, with applications including heatsinks, connectors, transformers and general electronics.
Comparison with C110:
C101 copper has greater purity compared to C110 and also offers greater strength. Hower C110 has slightly improved corrosion resistance and is easier to machine (the purity of the alloy results in greater levels of tool wear). C110 tends to be slightly more cost-effective because the alloy is not quite as pure.
