Super-Tix® 10CU Ulitmate

Super-Tix® 10CU. A titanium alloy designed specifically for high-performance motorsport exhaust systems.

The alloy is a specially developed titanium offering a combination of high-temperature strength with good formability at room temperature. Available in both sheet and welded tube, the introduction of copper as an additional alloying element result in solid solution hardening and low oxygen content. This addition doubles the high-temperature strength when compared with pure titanium. Super-Tix® 10CU also offers improved corrosion resistance when compared with stainless steel.

In the real world

Nissan’s GT-R sports car exhaust system is an excellent example of how Super-Tix® 10CU titanium can improve performance. The alloy is used in the muffler and reduces the overall mass by 5.5 Kg when compared to the original, stainless steel version while offering double the high-temperature strength of pure titanium.
