Finding the best suppliers of engineering raw materials is a key part of Smiths High Performance. Today, this means finding, evaluating and working with suppliers all around the world. We manage our supplier base through our Key Supplier Programme.

The Key Supplier Programme places high demands on our suppliers. We ask for specified quality levels in product and delivery performance, we ask for capacity reservations that give us the flexibility to quickly respond to our customer's requirements and we ask for full technical assistance that we can pass on to all of our customers. Finally, we ask for all of this at a competitive market price. We ask a lot, but we get it!

We get all of this from our suppliers because in return we offer strong loyalty and a working relationship based on understanding of each other's market requirements. Where we can be flexible on orders we have placed on our suppliers we are, and when there's a supply problem we discuss it and work through it, we don't just turn our backs and find a new supplier.
