| Smiths High Performance aims to maintain a relatively small customer base which allows us to work closely with our customers to achieve very high levels of service. We work with many of our customers as a key strategic partner whereby we manage all aspects of inventory control from sourcing right the way through to stock management and lineside supply. Many of our customers take advantage of our ability to create totally bespoke supply solutions. Most of our customers operate in high performance industries such as aerospace, marine engineering and motorsport. We are suppliers to many of the World's major companies in these sectors but we are also suppliers to many smaller, niche, companies that have the same expectation of quality of material and service but prefer a simple method of supply without long-term contacts. For many customers it is our product range that first attracts them to Smiths High Performance. Our aim to provide all of the materials we sell on a short lead time, ex-stock, basis. Many of the materials we sell are only available elsewhere as long lead time, large quantity, deliveries. Inevitably, the costs associated with sourcing materials in this way are very high and constrain what is possible at the design stage of the manufacturing process. By offering a wide range of supply solutions and by continually developing an ever-wider ex-stock product range we aim to provide all of our customers with maximum choice and the easiest, most cost efficient and highest quality material supply route. |
