Material Testing
|
Through our connection with the Smiths group we have access to an in-house, UKAS accredited, testing laboratory. Staffed by qualified metallurgists we are able to undertake specific product sampling and testing programmes as well as one-off material testing projects. We operate a quality system that aims to avoid all material quality problems by prevention rather than detection, however, having an in-house test laboratory offers an additional level of certainty that some customers require for ultra-critical component manufacturing. Much of the work done by our laboratory is centred around assisting customers understand how materials behave during and after the manufacturing process. Operations such as weld analysis give customers a clearer picture of material performance and suitability for the intended application. |
